Updating the Space for Our Needs
Updating the Space for Our Needs
The Challenge:
A professional couple sought to enhance their home to better cater to their everyday needs. They faced the issue of limited storage in their master bedroom and a cluttered home office that doubled as a space for dog kennels and children’s art, along with essential office equipment.

The Design Solution:
Decca Design addressed these challenges with custom solutions to maximize efficiency and aesthetics in both spaces. In the master bedroom, a bespoke wall unit was installed, offering wardrobe storage, shoe shelves, and drawers. A unique captain’s bed was crafted, featuring large storage drawers and specialized pockets in the headboard for books and electronic devices. The office transformation included a full wall of built-ins, cleverly concealing essential hardware like computers, printers, and shredders, while neatly organizing files and paperwork. A fabric tack board was added for important notes and children’s artwork, and upper cabinets with lighting created a permanent display area for cherished family items. The dog kennel received a stylish makeover with a built-in cover that also served as an additional surface for plants and storage. White lacquer finishes on all cabinetry brought a sense of spaciousness and cohesiveness to both the bedroom and office.
