Challenge:
After establishing the office in a small older home just outside of the downtown core the idea of relocating was one part exciting one part scary.
The project had been years in establishing the new mixed use structure and the idea that the move might now be a possibility started the clock. The timeline was a quick turn around as the area was already in the built out stage. Layouts would need to keep up with the framing and rough-ins already taking place. The second floor would need to occupy 17 offices and a common area with kitchen and conference facilities. The heritage of the existing office and the wood detailing would be a hard detail to reproduce but everyone was on board to move the project forward, be decisive and make this relocation happen.
The Solution:
RODI Results:
The relocation of this accounting office by Decca Design highlights a significant RODI through the maximization of space and shared amenities. Adapting to the unique challenges of the new location, the design incorporated 17 offices and multiple meeting rooms around a central hub, fostering efficiency and accessibility. The thoughtful inclusion of wood detailing and a heritage-inspired color palette paid homage to the old office while embracing the new setting’s modernity. This strategic layout not only facilitated a seamless transition but also enhanced collaborative interactions and productivity, making the most of the new, larger space.
