Balsamic Glazed Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients:

    • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
    • 2 tablespoons honey
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 2-3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
    • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the trimmed and halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper until they are evenly coated.
  3. Spread the Brussels sprouts out in a single layer on a baking sheet or a large ovenproof skillet.
  4. Roast the Brussels sprouts in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they are tender and lightly browned, stirring once or twice during the cooking time for even browning.
  5. While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, prepare the balsamic glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar, honey, and minced garlic.
  6. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 8-10 minutes, or until the glaze thickens and reduces by about half. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
  7. Once the Brussels sprouts are done roasting, transfer them to a serving platter.
  8. Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the roasted Brussels sprouts.
  9. If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top for an extra layer of flavor.
  10. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and freshness.
  11. Serve your Balsamic Glazed Brussels Sprouts as a delicious side dish alongside your main course.
  1. This recipe combines the nutty flavor of roasted Brussels sprouts with the sweet and tangy balsamic glaze, creating a delightful side dish. Enjoy!
