Balsamic Glazed Brussels Sprouts
Ingredients:
-
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2-3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the trimmed and halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper until they are evenly coated.
- Spread the Brussels sprouts out in a single layer on a baking sheet or a large ovenproof skillet.
- Roast the Brussels sprouts in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they are tender and lightly browned, stirring once or twice during the cooking time for even browning.
- While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, prepare the balsamic glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar, honey, and minced garlic.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 8-10 minutes, or until the glaze thickens and reduces by about half. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
- Once the Brussels sprouts are done roasting, transfer them to a serving platter.
- Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the roasted Brussels sprouts.
- If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top for an extra layer of flavor.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and freshness.
- Serve your Balsamic Glazed Brussels Sprouts as a delicious side dish alongside your main course.
